Rosie O'Donnell returns as co-host of 'The View' with moderator Whoopi Goldberg (Confirmed)

It's finally official: Rosie O'Donnell is back on The View as co-host for Season 18. The View's official Twitter confirmed the news today.

O'Donnell joins moderator Whoopi Goldberg on the panel.

Earlier this week there were were rumors that O'Donnell would return to the show after a seven year absence and many celebs weighed-in, including former co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck. She was particularly unhappy about Rosie returning.

The View is currently looking for two more co-hosts after Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy were fired last month. They are rumored to be looking for a conservative and a Latina.

I think the duo of Whoopi and Rosie is awesome on its own and the show should try it out for a few weeks while they look for two new hosts.
