Kris Allen to release new album 'Horizons' on August 12

Kris Allen is releasing his new album Horizons on August 12, 2014.

The American Idol winner made the announcement on Instagram on Thursday writing:

EXCITING NEWS: NEW ALBUM "HORIZONS" coming AUGUST 12! #horizons

He also added a follow-up post on Friday (which I assume are lyrics) that said:

you are the face in all my dreams

This of course is very exciting to me because Kris Allen is one of my all-time favorites on American Idol despite some ups and downs with his fans.

I'm glad that Kris is still making music after all these years. Kris survived a car crash which left him with a broken arm and he also become a father in 2013.
