GWAR Frontman Dave Brockie's Death Confirmed as Heroin Overdose

Medical examiners have confirmed that GWAR front man and founding member Dave Brockie (known by his stage name Oderus Urungus) died of an accidental heroine overdose in March.

The 50-year-old singer was found dead in his home on March 23 of seemingly unexplained causes. No drugs were found on him and foul play was not suspected.

His official cause of death has been labelled "acute heroin toxicity."

We've said it before and we'll say it again, GWAR won't be the same without Oderus.

Brockie is the second member of GWAR to have passed. In 2011 guitarist Cory Smoot (who was only 34-years-old) was found dead on the band's tour bus.
