Apple is 'Actively Investigating' Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton iCloud Photo Leak

Apple said through its spokesperson Natalie Kerris on Monday that it is 'actively investigating' the massive violation of multiple iCloud accounts over the weekend involving Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton and other celebrities.

She said:

"We take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report."

Nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton were leaked on the Web site 4chan over the weekend, and many suspect it was through a vulnerability in Apple's iCloud backup service.

Apple patched iCloud today after a tutorial on how to hack passwords via brute force surfaced on Github. No one knows yet if this software is related to the photo leaks and may just be a coincidence.

Meanwhile the photos are now all over the Internet and representatives from Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton have vowed to go after the hackers, confirming that they were indeed hacked.

UPDATE: Apple releases official statement (it's not their fault! LOL)
