Zooey Deschanel to sing national anthem at World Series

Zooey Deschanel will sing the National Anthem at the World Series Game 4 on Sunday.

I don't know why. Probably to boost ratings.

From USA Today:

Major League Baseball has just announced the lineup of singers for the next three games.

Country crooner Trace Adkins will do the honors tonight. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. on Fox.

Another country singer, Ronnie Dunn, will belt it out on Saturday in Texas before Game 3.

And Zooey Deschanel, star of Fox sitcom New Girl, will sing the anthem before Game 4 on Sunday.
