Zack Snyder Tweets New Batmobile Image from 'Batman v Superman' (PHOTO)
After street photos of the new Batmobile leaked from the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the internet was abuzz with talk about the sleeker, angrier look of the Batmobile, with its sharp, twisted-metal edges, and an aesthetic that looks like loose shrapnel forced into the shape of a car. But director Zack Snyder, who initially released the very first image of the new Batmobile along with a subsequent photo including Ben Affleck as Batman, wants you to have a better, less grainy look at Batman's new ride.
Snyder tweeted a professional photo of the Batmobile, and one of the most striking things about it is the mounted machine gun turret on its hood. While Batman hasn't always been depicted as anti-guns, the majority of his depictions frame him as someone who generally avoid shooting people, which makes sense given how Bruce Wayne lost his parents. That said, this isn't that far removed from the Tim Burton films, in which the Batmobile also featured automatic weaponry. This new Batmobile is actually a bit of a throwback to Burton's Batman films, with its leaner design, except this particular model is quite a bit fiercer, incorporating the more armored look of Christopher Nolan's Batman films. I'd love to see it in motion, but for now, this will have to do. Looks pretty badass though. Check out the photo below and let us know what you think in the comments:
