Zac Brown & Rascal Flatts Member To Cameo On Tonight's 'Nashville'
It's been announced that Zac Brown and Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts will appear on tonight's episode of Nashville (season 2, episode 12).
Zac is set to perform a song called 'Free' with Highway 65 recording artist Scarlett O'Connor (played by Clare Bowen) and Jay reportedly extends an invitation to struggling songwriter Gunnar (Sam Palladio) to write a song with him. Last week Kelly Clarkson appeared on the show, wanting to record a song that Gunnar and Scarlett wrote together, and next week Brad Paisley will cameo, inducting country pop superstar Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) into the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
Jay DeMarcus said of the show, " Well, it’s definitely dramatized. They have to make good television and so they’ve gotta create those stories, but I do watch the show because I’ve become really good friends with Chip, and Hayden has become a really good friend," he notes. "So it’s interesting to watch their work and I try to support it because it’s good for the city and it’s good for country music."
Since critics are predicting that Nashville will get cancelled after this season comes to a close in April, I guess Callie Khouri (the show's creator) is doing her utmost to inject some star power and thus some bigger ratings into the show, so we can continue to obsess about Nashville well into 2015. This upcoming episode airs Wednesday, January 22nd, at 10/9c on ABC.
