Only the Young sings 'Blame It On the Boogie' on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)

Only the Young sang 'Blame It On the Boogie' on The X Factor UK Live Show 5 on November 8, 2014.

This was fun! Only the Young have developed a bit of a reputation for getting saddled with corny song choices by Louis, and this was no different. But unlike some of their previous performances, I thought this really worked, thanks to the commitment and enthusiasm of each member of the group. I will say that I don't remember the blonde girl's voice being this annoying before, but I think part of it is that the song was pitched way too high for her. Louis probably could have actually lowered the key a bit, but it seemed to be in the sweet spot for the other three singers, so I'm guessing it was a "needs of the many" situation. But even then, why have her sing a solo at all? That was downright unpleasant, at times. I know she can sing, but it just wasn't in evidence here. Luckily, the performance still managed to be one of the most fun, lively numbers of the night, so I enjoyed myself overall. And that's all I really ask.

But what do you think of Only the Young?
