Only the Young, Overload, and Arize audition on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)
Only the Young, Overload, and Arize auditioned on The X Factor UK 2014 Room Auditions.
Three groups, three fairly unique sounds. These groups were all part of a group montage that had me wishing we could have gotten a bit more background on them, since they all seem like fairly interesting acts. Overload has only been together for three months, for example, while Arize rehearses everywhere (even "chicken shops"!). Only the Young, meanwhile, are four best friends who not only sing together -- they live together as well. Of the three groups, I liked Overload the most. Their version of "Pompeii" by Bastille was tuneful, and impressive for a group that's been together as briefly as they have been. Arize was my second favorite, with their version of "Little Me" by Little Mix. But even though they were my least favorite of the three, Only the Young wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. Their fun version of "Something About the Way You Look Tonight" by Elton John just might be the most I've ever liked that song.
