One of the year's most ridiculous viral videos/songs is now about to reach our children in book form.

Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis (comprised of brothers Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker) have signed a book deal with Simon & Schuster to turn “The Fox” into a children's picture book.

What Does the Fox Say? will hit shelves on Dec. 10, in time for the holiday buying season. The brothers are already rolling in dough, having just signed a deal with Warner Music Group, in addition to residuals from mainstream parodies of their work, including a high-profile spoof by Kerry Washington during her recent hosting stint on Saturday Night Live.

"I cannot tell you how many times I've watched Ylvis' hilarious, mesmerizing, unforgettable 'The Fox,'" said Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing president Jon Anderson in a statement. "The lyrics and playfulness of the song lend themselves perfectly to the picture book format, and I’m ecstatic that Simon & Schuster is publishing Bard and Vegard’s first book."

So yes, this is apparently happening. For real. Happy holidays.
