This Year's CMA Awards Will Have A "Crash My Party" Theme

The 47th Annual Country Music Association Awards will have a "Crash My Party" theme, according to radio host Broadway.

The show (to my knowledge) has never had a theme as such before, but with Luke Bryan (who released the song 'Crash My Party' and a hugely successful album this year), Florida Georgia Line (who broke a ton of records this year), and the other frat boys releasing party anthems, the logic at least makes sense. Luke is the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and is nominated for CMA Entertainer of the Year at this year's awards, so I'm sure the spotlight (and the roast) will be on him for much of the show.

That's not to say that I'm particularly pleased with the prestigious CMAs being hijacked by the frat boy crowd (I think y'all know how I feel about them), but it should make for an entertaining show and some ripping by hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, neither of whom have joined in the trends.

Watch the CMA Awards on November 6 at 8pm ET, live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on ABC.
