'Xena: Warrior Princess' Revival In Development at NBC - Praise the Gods!
Xena: Warrior Princess could be returning to TV! Lucy Lawless will be very pleased!
Variety reports that the popular '90s series is searching for a writer and creator Rob Tapert and executive producer Sam Raimi are involved.
At San Diego Comic-Con, promoting Ash vs. Evil Dead, Lucy Lawless, who played Xena, told me that she wants a Xena revival... and she wants to be in it (even if Xena died in the final episode).
"The fans really want that (revival)," said Lawless.
"It's a technicality," she added about being able to revive a dead character back to life.
Well, this is great news. I hope it happens! NBC is targeting a 2016 return for the show.
