The X Factor UK Results: Who Went Home In 7th Place? - 11/22/2014 (VIDEO)
It's a double elimination week on The X Factor UK as the Top 7 tackled the Whitney vs. Elton theme! Some acts did better than others, naturally, as Ben, Fleur, and Lauren were standouts, in my opinion. However, you could easily make the case for just about any of this week's acts (well, except for maybe Stevi).
After all seven acts performed, the vote was frozen. While the votes were tabulated, David Guetta and Emeli Sande performed their new single, with the seven remaining acts waiting nervously in the wings to hear their fate. Who was safe and who went home in seventh place? One act goes home tonight, while another goes home tomorrow night! It's an X Factor double elimination as 7 acts will become 5 by Sunday night.
RESULTS
The acts are out onstage, and everyone looks understandably nervous. Dermot O'Leary gets to the results...
The first act through to tomorrow night is...LAUREN PLATT!
The second act through to tomorrow night is...BEN HAENOW!
The third act through to tomorrow night is...ANDREA FAUSTINI!
The fourth act through to tomorrow night is...STEREO KICKS!
It's down to Stevi Ritchie, Fleur East and Only the Young! Dermot, however, stresses that they are not necessarily the bottom 3.
The result...
STEVI RITCHIE AND FLEUR EAST ARE SAFE!
ONLY THE YOUNG IS ELIMINATED FROM THE X FACTOR UK 2014!
After the result, the group members talk about how proud they are of one another, and how they're all best friends. They also stress what an amazing time they've had, and that this is not the end of Only the Young. Louis says all they need is a record contract. And I'm pretty confident they'll get one, honestly. Louis did seem gutted though. It's a shame, really. They were a great act, but even then, I don't know that they ever lived up to their potential. But maybe once they get away from doing covers and start doing their own material, they'll soar. They're a great group, and there's pretty much no reason why they shouldn't be able to succeed. I'm rooting for them.
But what did you think of the result? Sound off in the comments! And join us tomorrow for the next elimination as the Top 6 become the Top 5! Until then, thanks for reading!
