Group Performance: Final 4 sing "Signed, Sealed, Delivered"

Kind of a random song choice for the group performance, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Tons of confetti. Looked like God was pouring Fruity Pebbles on the stage.

The X Factor 2013 - X Factor Live Shows, Week 9 group performance ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours’ on MUZU.TV.

Performance Recap with Backstage Comments: For the first performance, Sharon talks about what a great performer Luke has become, while Nicholas talks about how badly he needs to turn it around with the next performance. Louis believes Nicky will come back fighting. Sam is glad to have gotten through her first song without messing up the lyrics, while Rough Copy responds to the judges by saying they felt it was better to go all-out than to not go 100%.

For the second performance, Louis feels Nicky nailed his song, while Nicholas himself felt he did exactly what he needed to do. Luke says he's done everything he can, and he prays and hopes it's enough to get into the final. Rough Copy feels their performance was all about the vocals, the passion and living the moment. Sam is glad that the judges like her spin on "Candle in the Wind". Gary adds that Sam is going to be really tough to beat.

Guest Performance: Leona Lewis, "One More Sleep"

I like the song, but man, I just did not care for this performance at all. The vocal sounded a bit muffled, and it sounded like she either lost the track or forgot her lyrics at one stage. She's so much better than this. But whatever, the song is still catchy as hell, so I probably shouldn't be complaining. And it kind of goes without saying that Leona looks GORGEOUS.

Leona doesn't want to say who she's backing, but Dermot coaxes her into admitting she's Team Sam Bailey. Leona really is just SO lovely.

FIVE MINUTE WARNING! VOTE NICHOLAS MCDONALD!

Back from break and...

LINES ARE NOW CLOSED!

Got my fingers crossed for Nicholas and Sam, although the latter singer is pretty much a no-brainer for the final. (Hopefully I'm not jinxing it)

Guest Performance: Michael Bublé, "You Make Me Feel So Young"

Another fairly random choice given the time of year. You'd think he'd be whipping out one of his Christmas standards. That said, this is right up my alley. Love it. Also, anyone notice he's been getting a lot more animated in his performance? You know, other than singing to Louis Walsh. I have no idea what's gotten into him, but I hope it stays.

Image: Michael Buble The X Factor UK

Michael reveals he's coming to the UK in March. This is followed by Dermot revealing audition details for The X Factor UK 2014, with Olly Murs encouraging singers to audition. Could the rumors of Olly taking a spot on the judges' panel be true?

Dermot announces the charities that will benefit from sales of the winner's single this year: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Together For Short Lives. We then get a video package detailing the people whom the charity profits will benefit directly, and the kind of valuable, important work both charities do. In particular, they focus on a sick little girl and the hope the charities have given to her and her family. It's a pretty touching video profile.

Final Showdown Sing-Off

Luke Friend sings "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane

Oh man, I'm loving this slowed down, intimate version. I'm actually getting choked up over here. This is my favorite Luke performance. Just a raw, passionate, powerful vocal. He even falls to his knees, with Rough Copy cheering him on from the sidelines! I love this so much! SO much, you guys.

It's a standing ovation from all four judges! And a well-deserved one, at that.

Rough Copy sings "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men

This was a bit of a mess, but dammit, it was really passionate. I mean, it's not going to disabuse anyone of the notion that this is a throwback act to 90s R&B, but I still think these guys are a killer vocal trio. I'm getting the feeling the judges are going to send this to deadlock.
