I had no problem with this result -- it was JTR's time. With that said, I thought their sing-off was one of their best performances, ditto for THIRD D3GREE (Kelebeck, in particular, absolutely killed it on that rap towards the end). Of course, the closer we get to the end, the more I fear the finale is just going to just be Ronan's three boys, even though the Dami train appears virtually unstoppable. I'm probably just being paranoid there, but I genuinely feel there are only so many times you can have THIRD D3GREE open the show and Dami close it to standing ovations before every episode starts to feel like a rerun. And when every show starts to feel the same, complacency sets in. And when complacency sets in, we end up with bottom twos consisting of acts that don't deserve to be in the bottom two.
Hopefully, this doesn't prove to be the case, and acts like Dami and THIRD D3GREE prove to have as much of a chance even without appealing to the teen demographic. However, much like last year, the teen crowd is proving incredibly persistent in keeping the boys around, even as I'm not entirely sure I fully "get" Omar. He's a good singer, but I really don't get any star vibes off of him, although that could simply be because he seemingly goes back and forth from week to week on whether he believes he actually deserves to be there. But these are all minor points in the grand scheme of things. We still have at least one more week before we should start seriously considering who's going to make the final. Until then, what do you think of these results? Sound off in the comments!
