Here are your medal results:
Team USA dominated the first set, winning it 25 - 11. Brazil had a rough time both with the block and defense of Team USA and their own unforced errors.
Brazil would get out to a fast start in the second set, showing off some good defense of their own. Team USA would battle their way back to even things up at 3-3 and end Brazil's scoring streak. A couple of unforced errors on the part of Destinee Hooker would give Brazil another 3-0 run in the set. Brazil would increase their lead, but Team USA once again fought back to tie things up at 12 all, but Brazil would respond with a 6 point run to jump out to a commanding lead. Brazil would go on to win the second set 25-17 to even the match at a set each.
Brazil would grab the early lead in the third set as well and go on to win it 25-20 to take a 2 sets to 1 lead. Brazil would once again open up a commanding lead in the fourth set and go on to win it 25-17, securing their second straight gold medal in this event. A disappointing result for Team USA after getting off to such a great start in the first set. Props to Brazil for playing like the champions they are.
