Will Smith Developing 'Hitch' TV Series at FOX

Jada Pinkett Smith already works with FOX in her role as Fish Mooney on Gotham. And now, her husband, Will Smith, is working with the network as well.

Will and Jada will executive produce a half-hour, single-camera series based on the hit 2005 comedy Hitch, which starred Smith as a dating consultant helping inept guys unlock their inner Casanova. The series is described as “a workplace comedy that explores dating and sexual politics," which is just vague enough that I kind of wonder how much it'll actually have to do with the movie. Granted, using the name or even just the premise could lend it a little boost just from people who liked the movie. After all, Hitch wasn't exactly a bomb. It made $370 million worldwide!

With any luck, Will and Jada can develop a series that is as successful as its big screen counterpart.
