Who's going home tonight on the American Idol 9 Top 10 R&B/Soul Week?
I've gotten a little confused after my "BDND" world got shattered last week with the elimination of Paige Miles -- so this week, I will just employ the whatever I feel like this week strategy in picking who goes home.
So this week my conspiracy-inuition goes like this:
People who are safe:
Aaron Kelly because he sang last. Crystal Bowersox because she is a front-runner and we won't even remotely consider her elimination until after Top 6. Same with Siobhan Magnus - although singing first and singing poorly last night may land her a surprise Bottom 3 (but probably not happening). Lee Dewyze because he was the best last night.
Casey James and Michael Lynche -- both of whom I like to clump together in these mega analysis are "literally safe" since they both are playing it safe in this competition so far. Not going anywhere yet, but the Top 8 area will be interesting for these two.
The bottom:
Katie Stevens - her quick visit to the Bottom 3 last week tells me she's in danger every week now. They could use her as a Bottom 3 foil for a few more weeks.
Didi Benami - I think she will land in the Bottom 3 tonight. I feel like it's almost certain.
Tim Urban - The judges love hate him so he will be in the Bottom 3, although I feel like they want to keep him around just for a couple more weeks to milk this drama even further. Plus, Simon Cowell said he will be safe one more week and I believe him. He said this about Sanjaya and Ramiele at this stage in the competition before and they were both safe.
Andrew Garcia - I think it is time. Even if Randy Jackson proclaimed that "he's back," I believe there is no coming back. I don't think "Forever" erased 5 straight weeks of disappointment from Andrew. Also, I don't think they will eliminate a third girl in a row. Personally, I can't wait for him to sing for his life with "Straight Up" tonight.
