When You Tell Me That You Love Me - Review

The original review of this item went like this: Judging by this CD-Single, it is clear who the Idol producers want in the Top 3: Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice and Constantine Maroulis. These three Idols are the first voices you will hear in all three tracks -- When You Tell Me That You Love Me, He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother and Everything is Beautiful -- with Carrie sometimes just dominating parts of the song. It seems that they have put Carrie's, Bo's and Constantine's voice on "loud" compared to the other Idols so they stand out. In fact, this CD-Single is more aptly described as: Carrie, Bo and Constantine sing, while the rest of the Idols back them up.

Well... so much for that theory, now that Constantine is gone. Anyway, I don't feel particularly bad that I didn't hear much of Anthony or Mikalah (who wasn't given any solo), but this CD-Single clearly demonstrates that the idol producers are a manipulative bunch.

So, if you are a Carrie, Bo or Constantine fan and would like to hear how they sound in a recording (which is not bad by the way -- all three were great), or if you are an Anwar, Vonzell or Nadia fan and don't mind them singing the We-Are-the-World-like-"highlight" notes, then this CD is for you.
