'The Walking Dead' Promotes Three Actors to Series Regulars for Season 5

The fourth season of The Walking Dead just wrapped on AMC last night, and it was a pretty buzzworthy finale. We saw the introduction of a new villain in the form of Gareth (Andrew J. West), and Rick's group being reunited with Glenn and Maggie's group, which includes newcomers Tara (Alanna Masterson) and Rosita (Christian Serratos).

In news that will likely surprise no one, three of the above actors have been promoted to series regulars for Season 5.

Alanna Masterson, Christian Serratos, and Andrew J. West have been bumped up from recurring to regulars, which either means more screentime, or an impending death that will allow the show to say "Hey! We killed off one of the main characters!" The promotion will become effective beginning with the premiere of the show's fifth season this fall, a season about which we know nothing beyond "Well, Rick and co. will probably get out of that boxcar, I guess?"

So yeah, count me among the excited.
