'The Walking Dead' to Get Companion Series

It might not come to be until 2015, but the people responsible for the AMC smash hit, The Walking Dead, are planning a companion series.
Robert Kirkman, writer of the comic books from which The Walking Dead television show is based, will head the project along with fellow executive producers Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert. Because the universe of The Walking Dead is so massive, the team behind this companion series is excited to explore an entirely new corner of the world.
Kirkman stated:The opportunity to make a show that isn’t tethered by the events of the comic book and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing.The Walking Dead returns in its fourth season on October 13th.
