The Voice Season 7 Top 3 has been set in stone, but there's still one spot left to make it a final four for next week's finals.

Early into last night's combined results/performance show, we learned that Team Adam's Matt McAndrew and Chris Jamison, and Team Blake's Craig Wayne Boyd would compete in next week's finals, having earned the most votes among the final five. But, as Carson stressed repeatedly throughout last night's show, this wildcard twist is a first for the series. One artist has the potential to make the finale despite having been eliminated earlier in the competition. So whom will it be? An artist recently eliminated like Damien or Taylor John Williams? Or an early evictee like Sugar Joans or Ryan Sill?

THOUGHTS

Turns out our readers nearly got this one, as Damien was second in our poll. But I think this is a Voice first, if I'm not mistaken (which I very well might be, since my knowledge of Voice history isn't anywhere near as good as it is with other shows thanks to the whole "two seasons a year" thing). I think this is the first time where a coach has had his or her entire team in the finals. And if so, that's huge for Adam, who's pretty much had all his picks justified by America.

Of course, could you imagine the amount of crow Adam is going to have to eat from Blake if Craig Wayne Boyd ends up winning this thing? "My one guy beat your WHOLE TEAM!"

Ultimately, I can't complain about this result, even if I thought Taylor John Williams, Jessie Pitts, DaNica Shirey and even Sugar Joans did a better job last night. Damien is a really talented artist, and while I'm doubtful he can parlay this into a win, stranger things have happened (Jermaine Paul, anyone?). All in all, I have absolutely no problem with this result. Damien is a deserving artist with heaps of talent.

But what do you think of the result? Did America make the right call, or should someone else have been put through? And where will Damien finish in the finale? Will he be able to turn this into a win? Second place? Third? Or will he be eliminated just as suddenly as he's returned? Sound off in the comments, and join us next week for the huge finale festivities, as we decide the winner of The Voice Season 7!
