Rickey.org readers’ predictions for elimination:
Rickey.org readers have had an amazing track record this season, and while that's good news for our readership, it's bad news for James Wolpert and Cole Vosbury, the two acts predicted to be eliminated tonight: James has an overwhelming 37.35% of the vote while Cole has 27.93%. Without the Instant Save, it's uncertain whether a bottom 3 will be announced or if Carson Daly will just announce the two acts leaving the competition. But in the event that a bottom 3 is announced, our readers predict that Jacquie Lee will be joining the party. The youngest artist in the competition has 18.24% of the vote in our poll, which suggests Team Christina is in serious jeopardy of being wiped out tonight! Could it really be the end of the road?
It's not too late to add your predictions, so head on over and vote! You can also vote on which artist is your favorite. Who knows? Maybe ya'll will turn out to be as good at predicting eventual winners as you are at predicting who goes home from one week to the next. And if that's the case, I'd love to get your lotto suggestions.
Let's get on with the recap and results!

Recap
-We kick things off with a recap of last night's show, with Blake and CeeLo representing Team Cole, Christina reasserting her pride for Jacquie's performance, Adam telling Will he has a lot to be happy about, and then telling James that Bono would be proud with his performance of "With Or Without You". Lastly, Adam tells Tessanne she made his mother cry, with Adam's adorable little mom coming backstage and hugging her. CeeLo is anxious to see who will make the finals.
-Carson explains that viewers still have one week to make their iTunes vote count, as every download made between now and next week's results show will count towards that artist's final vote total. And like that, we kick things off with the first and only duo to ever make The Voice finals...
The Swon Brothers sing "Later On": This song is catchy as all get-out. I might catch hell for saying so, but the Swon Bros. are easily the best duo this show has ever had, even better than Midas Whale (and I REALLY liked Midas Whale). Seriously, I might have to download this single. It's super infectious. They even interact a bit with the stage, as Colton hands off his guitar to a hilariously confused girl in the audience. (I'm guessing it's not for keeps)
-Carson congratulates the guys on their Sony/Arista record deal, and they plug future "Swoncerts". They talk about how this is the first time they've seen Blake since last season, and they take the opportunity to tell him he looks good, while Blake jokes that he already told the brothers how stupid they look. Um, okay then?

9:13 PM
-Back from break with Carson talking to the judges. Adam talks about the journey in getting to this point in the competition with all of his team intact, while CeeLo mentions how someone needs to lose this competition graciously, and someone needs to win gratefully. Carson then congratulates Christina on the chart-topping "Say Something," which is pretty much my favorite Christina Aguilera vocal ever. She's virtually unrecognizable in her vulnerability, and I'm floored every single time I hear it. That said, A Great Big World? What's wrong with "Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino"? The two-names deal is working out pretty well for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Christina talks about how lucky she is to know Jacquie Lee, and to see a star blossoming before her eyes. Lastly, Blake says the only reason Adam has three artists left in the competition is because he let him (translation: "I only had one strong act. But if I had my say in who was voted onto my team? Boy howdy! You'd be in trouble!").
The Voice Confessional: It's a holiday-themed video, with the coaches and artists singing "Twelve Days of Christmas" and wondering what partridges and turtle doves are. Christina hits a pretty insane glory note. And I have to add, she's wearing the HELL out of that Santa hat. (Ugh, my crush on her is getting seriously out of hand.)

RESULTS!
-Carson has the envelope and reveals one of the two artists with the fewest number of votes and leaving the competition after having a brief, time-filling conversation with Tessanne Chin.
JAMES WOLPERT is eliminated from The Voice!
-James appears to have been expecting it. He and Adam hug it out, and it's a shame to see him leave. I almost want to say he could have won with a different coach, but the alternatives don't leave me with a whole lot of confidence about the ability of other coaches to choose songs for James better than he could choose for himself. But maybe in an Usher/Shakira season, he could have been paired with one of those two -- and perhaps they might not have steered James so awkwardly down the Rivers Cuomo route. Weezer just was not a good look on him. He peaked with "A Case of You" and never reached that pinnacle again, and that's a damn shame. He was my favorite of the remaining contestants.
9:25 PM
-We're back with last season's runner-up!
Michelle Chamuel sings "Go Down Singing": DAMN, check out The Voice Season 4 finalists, bringing the hot singles. This may be my favorite post-Voice single ever. How this song isn't on the radio RIGHT NOW, I'll never know. And Michelle tears it up on that stage. I get why she didn't win, but her loss still sticks in my craw a little bit. She's just so outrageously good.

-Carson interviews Michelle, and she reveals that she still talks to Usher and that he's on vacation with his son right now. She then plugs her upcoming album, before Carson then plugs the exclusive Starbucks playlist available on TheVoice.com/Starbucks.
-Hey, Jamar Rogers is in the audience! And he stole Willy Wonka's top hat! (Seriously though, glad to see him looking well)
MORE RESULTS!
-Carson asks Jacquie about how her confidence has surged as she's gotten deeper into the competition. He then reveals the first act GOING THROUGH to the finals...
TESSANNE CHIN advances to The Voice finals!
Image: Tessanne Chin The Voice finalist
-An absolute no-brainer. Tessanne is understandably emotional, and she should be. Right now, she has to be considered the favorite to win this whole thing among the remaining finalists.
9:36 PM
-Back from break with Carson reading tweets, including one from Thiago Silva (the MMA fighter?), who asks if the coaches will ever sing together. Caroline Rhea gets a great dig in at CeeLo on the Twitter crawl beneath the screen, saying she appreciates his fashion homage to Bea Arthur. AWESOME. Seriously, who doesn't love The Golden Girls? (Nobody. Nobody doesn't love The Golden Girls. That is the only acceptable answer)
Cassadee Pope sings "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart": In yet another statement I'm probably going to catch hell for, but does Cassadee strike anyone else as yet another in the recent glut of rock/pop singers who randomly decide to go into country music just because the audience is loyal and are willing to give just about anyone a chance? It's this weirdly obnoxious trend that's diluting country music, as some rock/pop singers look to be trying to pull a Taylor Swift: pursue country music, sell big, and parlay it into a crossover career on the main pop charts. Of course, for all I know, Cassadee has always loved country music and has always wanted to be a country singer, but this just feels like a pop song dressing up as a country ballad for the masquerade hoedown (an event that totally doesn't exist, but Lord how I wish it did).
With all that said, Cassadee really does sound great, and man alive, that woman is gorgeous. After the performance, Carson brings in Blake to present her with her first Gold record in commemoration of over 500,000 downloads for "Wasting All These Tears". I'm happy for her. She seems incredibly sweet.

9:47 PM
-Back from break, and my God, this parade of former finalists is EXHAUSTING...
Danielle Bradbery sings "Never Like This": SO adorable, this girl. And she's grown in confidence as a performer too. It's evident from how sure of herself she seems with every note. And while this country-pop kind of ballad has never really been my bag, this is yet another entry in tonight's long line of really good singles.
-Carson interviews Blake about his thoughts on Danielle's album debuting at No. 1 on the country album charts, and he says that she's one of the best singers in country music, and her success has never surprised him. Carson remarks that between Danielle's success and Cassadee's Gold record, he might actually be good at this job. Danielle talks about how great it is to be back home.

EVEN MORE RESULTS!
-It's 9:52 PM ET, which apparently means we have enough time for Carson to faff about by asking Will what was going through his mind during last night's performance. So I guess his name isn't about to be called next. Carson has the envelope to reveal the next artist through to next week's final...
JACQUIE LEE advances to The Voice finals!
Image: Jacquie Lee The Voice finalist
-Jacquie (cleavage uncomfortably all over the place) goes over and hugs her coach as her mother breaks down in the audience. We then throw to commercial on a special music video profiling Danielle Bradbery's collaboration for the Winter Olympics, featuring her single, "My Day".
-So it's down to Will and Cole. Interesting...
9:58 PM
-Back from break, and we STILL have time for questions, as Carson gives both artists the chance to have one final word with their coaches. Cole is incredibly grateful to Blake and for the opportunities he's given him. He says that he knows he'll have Blake's guidance for the rest of his life, and he's immensely appreciative. Will, meanwhile, talks about how much he's learned from Adam, and expresses the desire to continue rocking with Adam in the future. Ugh, I like both guys! I don't want either to go!
-Carson has the envelope. Let's do this...

WILL CHAMPLIN advances to The Voice finals!
COLE VOSBURY is eliminated from The Voice!
TEAM BLAKE has been wiped out! THE STREAK IS OVER!
-And Rickey.org readers nail it again! But honestly, if it had been my call, I actually would have put through Cole, mostly because I've had the biggest soft spot for him for the longest time. But I can't argue with these results, although I'd have MUCH rather had Cole taking Jacquie's spot, but I quickly came to terms with the unlikelihood of that happening. Will has long been a favorite of mine, and he absolutely deserves to be in the finals, so this is a pretty big win all around. And hey, no insufferable bragging about a fourth consecutive win from Blake come February when the Blind Auditions begin all over again! This has been a very good day.
Well, that's it for me! I'll be adding videos as soon as they become available. Until then, thanks for hanging out! You guys are always a blast. Hit up the comments and leave your thoughts on these results! Did the right acts go through to the finals? Did the right artists go home? Let us know!
