Rickey.org readers’ predictions for elimination:
Ray Boudreaux is the frontrunner to be eliminated with 38.52% of the vote, while second place in the poll belongs to Caroline Pennell with 18.45% of the vote. Could Team Cee Lo be completely wiped out tonight? Maybe not, as readers predict that both Cole Vosbury and Matthew Schuler could be in danger, as they received 11.97% and 11.88% of the vote, respectively. Could we really see a bottom 3 comprised of one-time frontrunners? There's still time to vote in the poll, so head on over and add your predictions!
Also, if your favorite lands in the bottom, here's a quick reminder on how you can rescue him or her with the Instant Save:

Let's get on with the recap and results!
Recap
-We open with a recap of last night's show, and three big takeaways: 1) Jacqui wasn't anywhere near as good on rewatch as I thought she was upon first hearing it last night. She wasn't exactly bad, per se, but the vocal became kind of a mess towards the end. 2) Adam needs to stop making James Wolpert: Poor Man's Brandon Flowers happen. 3) Will Champlin and Tessanne Chin may be the best two pure vocalists left in the competition.
-Carson Daly reveals that the show has now surpassed 15 Million downloads since premiering in 2011, adding that last night's performances topped both the Rock and Country charts on iTunes. And now we head into our first performance of the night.
Ellie Goulding performs "Burn" with Will Champlin, Matthew Schuler, and James Wolpert: I have absolutely no idea who's running the sound tonight, but Ellie Goulding is barely audible, and the boys are just as quiet once they join in. I do love the arrangement, which has more of a booming percussion than the original track, and the harmonies of the guys add a lot to it. But man, it was a struggle to hear anything during chunks of this. Complete non-sequitur, but Christina looks GORGEOUS tonight. The pulled-back, wavy hair is totally doing things for her.
9:10 PM
-We're back from break with Carson interviewing the judges about tonight. Carson asks Adam about how he feels concerning his Team's good fortune, and Adam says he's keeping his fingers crossed. Cee Lo is proud of Caroline and says she did well "given the circumstances" (Huh? What kind of backhanded compliment is that?), while Christina says it would be heartbreaking to see anybody go home tonight, which seems to be the only thing she's ever capable of saying during results show. She's essentially the Cheryl Cole of The Voice. Carson congratulates Blake on Danielle Bradbery having the No. 1 country album in America, before asking for his thoughts on eliminations. Blake hopes his category is safe, but says no matter which two artists go home, they don't deserve to leave.
Time for our first results of the night!
-Carson says he's going to ask questions to some of the contestants before results, since we apparently need to fill more time for some reason. And so Carson talks with Tessanne, who talks about what a great coach Adam is, saying she holds him "in the highest regard". I love hearing Tessanne talk almost as much as I enjoy hearing her sing.
America saves WILL CHAMPLIN!
-Will looks relieved, although I have no idea why he would ever be worried. Dude SLAYED last night.
9:19 PM
-Back from break, and Carson talks with Ellie Goulding, who discusses how this is one of her first opportunities to perform this single stateside, as the song is actually a #1 single in the UK. She felt a lot of the pressure was taken off her shoulders thanks to the talent of the finalists, and she states that she felt like she was in a boy band, except for the whole "not being a boy" part. That was actually one of my biggest issues with the performance. You shouldn't put Will, Matthew and James on a performance if you're just going to have them do background vocals. To hell with that.
-The finalists perform "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?": Weird choice for a group performance, but I kind of like it, even with the official Starbucks Chorus (which is just about the most ridiculous thing I've heard this week). It's a much more upbeat arrangement of this song than some of the versions I'm used to hearing, but it totally suits every one of the finalists like a glove, particularly Tessanne. It helps that it's a great song, capable of translating across genres and vocal styles. I really dug this.
Time for more results!
-Carson asks Matthew about how Christina's coaching has helped him in the competition, and Matthew says that it's been a blessing working under her, as she's helped make him a more versatile artist. I love how eloquent and humble Matthew is. In fact, I don't think there's an unlikable person in this entire group.
America saves COLE VOSBURY!
-Cole excitedly hugs Blake, and we're left with six artists still at risk for elimination. My nerves are frayed like...I don't know, something that's frayed. I'm too nervous for similes!
9:31 PM
-We're back with Carson in the Sprint Skybox, and I miss Alison Haislip. Hell, at this rate, I miss Christina Milian.
-Apparently, Blake and Adam won a Twitter poll as the people fans most want to have over for Thanksgiving, beating out the Obamas. Blake reveals he'll be eating and drinking turkey this Thanksgiving, while Adam says he'll be back in his hometown in Los Angeles, visiting with people he loves very dearly. I've eaten hot dogs with less filler than this.
Cee Lo performs his new single, "Amy": I'm kind of meh on this performance, which has Cee Lo flanked by a runway of modeling mimes. It's a weird bit of cognitive dissonance, as the staging doesn't really match the song. Thankfully, it's not a bad song or anything. Can't imagine myself buying it, but it's not a bad song.
The Voice confessional: Some great stuff here, such as Tessanne doing a Boston accent, Blake wearing a Cole beard, and the artists doing impressions of their coaches (I loved Matthew's Christina impression, and Caroline's Cee Lo impersonation), and of each other (James does a priceless impression of Will).
Results time!
-Carson reveals that Caroline, a senior in high school, has received her first college acceptance letter. He asks her how the competition will affect her future, and she says that this won't be the end for her, no matter what. I worry that she may have resigned herself to going home. As for the results, Carson states that America has saved a contestant from Team Christina, prompting Christina to mouth the words "I love you both" to her contestants.
America saves JACQUI LEE!
-I can't really argue with this result, even though I soured on Jacqui's performance from last night. She still has a lot to offer the competition. Hopefully she's given a more low-key track next week, instead of something encourages her to dip into her shouty upper register.
9:45 PM
-Back from break with a plug for The Voice Radio station on iTunes, and then the huge reveal that OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder will work with the finalists to write a winner's single for release after the champion is crowned in a few weeks. Thank God. Last thing anyone needs is to end up saddled with "I Believe I Can Fly" like poor Jermaine Paul. Plus, I loved every single one of the original singles from season one. Seriously, those were legitimately great songs.
The Top 8 perform a OneRepublic medley of "Apologize" and "All the Right Moves": I liked the "All the Right Moves" segment way better than the "Apologize" part, mostly because there's nothing new to be done with that song (Ray was a bit behind the music on the first verse too, although I would argue it's the best he's sounded in weeks). "All the Right Moves" is a pretty great song as it is, and the finalists kept it upbeat and engaging, I thought.
More results!
-Carson dispenses with the questions and reveals that he will name two more artists saved by America.
America saves TESSANNE CHIN!
America saves JAMES WOLPERT!
-The bottom three are Ray Boudreaux, Matthew Schuler, and Caroline Pennell! This DEEPLY SUCKS.
-Blake pleads with America to give Ray another chance, while Cee Lo says that Caroline deserves to be here all the way through, adding she's "such a brave heart and such a great talent." Christina doesn't understand why Matthew is in the bottom 3, but says "It's not our place to know exactly why, but I believe in you so wholeheartedly." She asks America to give him another chance, since he's delivered every time. This is going to be a close one.
9:58 PM
-And we're back with the remaining results, as Carson congratulates Adam on his Team's continued good fortune. Adam says he believes in all three of the remaining artists, but he's surprised Matthew is in the bottom 3. He hopes America will save Matthew, saying that his performance of "Hallelujah" is a moment worth propelling him forward.
America saves MATTHEW SCHULER!
RAY BOUDREAUX and CAROLINE PENNELL have been eliminated from The Voice!
TEAM CEE LO has been wiped out of The Voice!
I suppose this was the only way it could have gone once that bottom 3 was revealed, as there was just now way Matthew was going anywhere. It's a shame to lose Caroline just the same though. Regardless, this is still a really strong Top 6, so I can kind of understand it, even if it bums me out like you wouldn't believe.
I would also be remiss if I didn't mention that, once again, Rickey.org readers nailed it with their predictions. Ray and Caroline, for 100% accuracy yet again.
So what do you think of these results? Was this the right bottom 3? Did the right artists go home? Sound off in the comments!
I'll be adding videos as soon as they become available, so keep refreshing and checking back! Until then, thanks for hanging out. You guys make this all worth it!
