At the start of the show, each coach has one open slot on their team.
-
Joe Trombino - "Love and Happiness"
I did not see this performance, but he was not chosen.
Kaleigh Glanton - "Have You Ever Seen The Rain"
She is 16 and was once in a duo with her dad. I wasn't feeling Kaleigh to begin with but she came into her own in the performance and all of the judges turned around their chairs. She ended up choosing Blake.
Brittnee Camelle - "Skyscraper"
She is a nursing student. Brittnee DID that! She really belted that song to me. Usher turns his chair mid-way and Shakira did at the end. She ends up choosing Usher, who completes his team with her.
Beau Thomas - "You Are The Best Thing"
I didn't really see sparks flying from this performance. It was pretty mediocre. The rasp was good, but he just did the most and over ad-libbed a lot. He was really confident and wasn't bummed by the decision he was not chosen though (or seemed not to be).
Lindsay Bruce - "Even If It Breaks Your Heart"
A country singer! She didn't stand out in my opinion, but Adam turns around first, followed by Shakira. She chooses Shakira, who completes her team and says she will work with Miranda Lambert to help Lindsay.
Caleb Elder - "Groove Me"
He works at a donut shop, and doesn't want to do that for the rest of his life. The performance is all types of cheesy for me, but Adam immediately turns around. I just abhor faux-reggae performances. He goes to Team Adam.
