VIDEO: Malaya Watson sings 'The Long And Winding Road' on American Idol 2014

Malaya Watson sang "The Long And Winding Road" by The Beatles on American Idol XIII 2014 Season 13 Top 9.

Preparation

Malaya played the tuba in high school. She played the role of Chaka Khan in in her high school production of "Sensation."

She says she's on this road... to stardom.

Performance Video

This was a weird performance for me. I did not understand her hand gestures. And she was off timing many times trying to make the song intense. I did not get it at all. I think this was the wrong attack to this song.

My Rating: 3 / 5 stars

Judge	Critique
Keith Urban: Gosh that was beautiful baby. You really chose a performance that shows us your voice. That performance showed us your spirit.
Jennifer Lopez: Your voice really stands out above everybody else. It sounds like the sweetness of a young Michael Jackson. (LOL!)
Harry Connick Jr.: I give you the awards for more consistently improving. It was strong.
