VIDEO: Husein Alatas of Indonesian Idol 2014

I just discovered Husein Alatas of Indonesian Idol 2014 Season 8.

OMG. He. Has. To. Win.

The Idol franchise is the best!

In order to appreciate Husein, you need to start with his best performance to date, "Skyfall" by Adele. Then move on in chronological order from his audition.

My mind is blown.

He is instantly one of my favorite reality TV contestants of all time. His look, the conceit of being the next metal superstar, the gratuitous song selection -- Idol perfection. Whoever is running Idol in Indonesia should get interviewed for the American version ASAP.

I hope Husein makes it to the next round this Friday! He's already in the Top 4.

Now that you've recovered from that, here's Husein's journey through Indonesian Idol 2014:

Smoke in the Water - Deep Purple - Audition

Counting Stars - One Republic

In The End - Linkin Park

Toxicity - System Of A Down

Enter Sandman - Metallica

Wake Me Up - Acicii

Impossible - James Arthur
