VIDEO: 'Gone Girl' Trailer Has Arrived, Paints Ben Affleck as Killer

The trailer for the long-awaited big screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel Gone Girl is here! And it's a fairly moody, atmospheric clip.

The trailer features Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, a man who's become something of a Scott Peterson figure in the media, following the disappearance of his wife (Rosamund Pike) on their fifth wedding anniversary. The film, already among the big potential Oscar contenders for this year, features one of the most interesting, varied casts in some time: Neil Patrick Harris, Missi Pyle, Tyler Perry, Patrick Fugit, Casey Wilson, Scoot McNairy, Kim Dickens and Emily Ratajkowski. Gone Girl, directed by David Fincher and produced by Reese Witherspoon, Bruna Papandrea, and Leslie Dixon, hits theaters Oct. 3. You can watch the full trailer below via E! Online:
