VIDEO: Dexter Roberts sings 'Cruise' on American Idol 2014

Dexter Roberts sang "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line on American Idol XIII 2014 Season 13 Top 10.

Preparation

Dexter said he needed a strong song choice.

Randy Jackson said that he couldn't understand the lyrics when Dexter sings.

Dexter says that Alabama is where the water's at.

Performance Video

They slowed down the song so Dexter could be more intelligible. I think it's too slow! I thought this was one of his weaker performances. But the fans LOVE LOVE LOVE him. He has the perfect look for American Idol.

My Rating: 2/5

Judges Comments

Judge	Critique
Keith Urban: I think it was a good song choice for you.
Jennifer Lopez: The whole crowd knows the song. Get them clapping. You could have done a bit more rallying.
Harry Connick Jr.: I do not think that was a good performance. It was bereft of joy.
