Vampire Diaries - Plan B
So I've been "silently" watching The Vampire Diaries since the premiere this season and I absolutely love it. These shows are harder to recap, unlike the quick-fire reality shows, but I just wanted to know if you guys are following this show just like me. It's really really good. I hope more people watched it.
Highlights:
Jeremy informs Damon about the moonstone which he learned about talking to Tyler.
During preparations for a masquerade ball, Bonnie tells Stefan that she had a vision of Mason and Elena kissing (while he brushed passed her). Stefan deduces that it is in fact Katherine. (So Katherine is working with Mason).
Damon, Stefan and Bonnie (after some convincing from good-cop bad-cop Salvatore brothers) go after Mason. They succeed in ambushing him and Bonnie thru her mind-reading witch powers finds out that the moonstone is in a well somewhere.
Damon and Bonnie take Mason to Damon's mansion (to get tortured for info). Stefan and Elena head for the well. Bonnie then leaves for the well and meets Caroline again. (The side drama is Bonnie is hurt that Elena had not been talking to her because of Bonnie's eversion to Caroline who is now a vampire). Bonnie has a change of heart (after a talk with Elena earlier) and lets Caroline accompany her to the well.
At the well, Stefan goes in and discovers that is has been booby-trapped with verbane. Bonnie and Caroline arrive just in time to help Elena. Elena goes down the well to save Stefan who is lifted to safety. While down by herself, Elena finds the moonstone, but not after being attacked by some snakes -- she gets out fine.
While torturing Mason, Damon finds out that Katherine supposedly needed it to cure Mason of his werewolf curse. This is enough information for Damon as he knows that Katherine is only using Mason. Jeremy incidentally comes in bringing in some wolfsbane -- LOL -- but he is forced to leave when Damon was about to kill Mason.
OMG Damon killed Mason. Ripped his heart out!
On a side note, Caroline makes peace with her mother, but compels her anyway to forget everything (that Caroline was a vampire, etc) because she knew her mom did not trust the Salvatore brothers.
Meanwhile, Damon gets a hold of Mason's cellphone and texts everyone that he has gone back to Florida. He then brazenly calls the last number Mason dialed -- which is Katherine. They talk. Damon tells her that he has killed Mason and has the moonstone. Katherine tells him: "I have a Plan B." Ooops.
At her home, Elena gets a call from Katherine! Katherine informs her that Jenna had been her spy all along and apparently just compelled her over the phone. Jenna to stab herself! OMG
Some sides: Jeremy wants revenge! Tyler is heart-broken that Mason left (I wonder what will happen when he finds out Damon killed him).
And then Elena breaks up with Stefan. She tells Damon: "Katherine won."
Epilogue: Katherine compels Matt to go after Tyler until Matt is dead -- so that Tyler becomes a werewolf and becomes Mason's replacement.
I love this show.
