'Vampire Diaries', 'Originals', and 'Drop Dead Diva' Shut Down Production Over Georgia Storm

The catastrophic Atlanta ice storm has left thousands without power -- including the production of three high-profile TV series.
The CW’s The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, both of which film in Atlanta, have shut down production due to the winter storm that is passing through the northern part of the metropolitan area.
The storm is expected to worsen through Wednesday, with travel becoming functionally impossible, according to the National Weather Service. However, the two shows are only expected to miss one day of production. Yet the same can't be said for a certain cable series...
Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva, which also films in Atlanta, has shut down production for both Wednesday and Thursday. Lifetime’s Devious Maids also films in Atlanta, but there's been no word on whether the storm will affect production on the sophomore season of the primetime soap.
All the best to the people of Georgia during this terrible storm!
