Vampire Diaries - Brave New World

I love The Vampire Diaries!

So Katherine's promise of "game on" last week against Damon and Stefan turned into fruition as Caroline got turned into a vampire! Omigosh. Her realization that she's something else and a demonstration of her powers was so good.

Meanwhile at the Mystic Falls Carnival, Damon and Stefan suspect something about Mason (Tyler's uncle) -- well, duh, he's a werewolf, can't they smell each other? LOL. Stefan challenges Mason to arm wrestling, and Stefan notices the super-human strength. Damon conducts an experiment and brainwashes some black dude to pick a fight with Tyler.

Poor black guy gets beaten up by Tyler and Mason in the parking lot which Stefan witnesses. Tyler sees Mason's eyes "glow". This makes him asks questions, etc. and when they get home, he takes the "stone" that Mason asked his mother into his possession. Hmmm, what could that be?

Back at the carnival, Caroline makes an appearance since apparently she's one of the organizers. She managed to get herself out of the hospital by vampire-abusing the nurse. She confronts Damon and tells him she remembers everything he did to her and sent Katherine's "message". She then freaks out with her boyfriend Matt since her new powers were making her want to do things like bite her boyfriend's neck.

She eventually finds the beaten up black dude -- and then she attacks him and kills him! Omigosh - minority abuse! WTF CW.

Damon tells Stefan and Elena that the only way to deal with Caroline now that she's turned into a vampire is to kill her since she's unstable. Damon attempts to kill her, but Stefan stops him. And then, Bonnie the witch, tries to burn Damon saying it's his fault all these bad things are happening. Elena stops her.

Some passive-agressive bonding between Damon and Jeremy ensue at his Damon's mansion ("You killed me, now I have to kill you.") And then at her house, somehow Caroline is able to control her urge to bite Matt. Stefan and Elena share a tender moment by the ferris wheel late at night.

I love this show. I can't wait for what what happens next.
