V: Welcome to the War - Vcap

The Visitors latest plot against the humans still includes mass manipulation. The kind of manipulation where you don't know you're being manipulated. They're very good at what they do. The 5th column is still working hard as a resistance against the V's but they're very much outnumbered. They're staying positive and coming up with new plans of attack. Ana is pissed that a good chunk of the V's supply of R6 vaccine was destroyed in the warehouse explosion. To get even and ahead, they frame a known mercenary/terrorist as the culprit to get him out of the way. They know with his skills he's a threat and they want the FBI preoccupied with him. Erica is smart and she sees this and gets Ryan to help her convince Kyle Hobbes to join the resistance instead. After much blackmail and money offerings, it takes Ryan's reptilian eyeball to get him to agree.
Father Jack was stabbed in the last episode but instead of being taken to a normal human hospital, he's taken to a V healing center. They work magic with their powers and heal him up good as new. Only they juiced him up with some R6 vaccine and Jack can feel it inside of him. Something isn't right. Ryan enlists the help of a former V doctor to determine that the R6 vaccine is really a way for Ana to tag humans and keep track of them. Like when they tag animals in the wild. She's putting the humans on a really long leash.
Tyler is still living up to his failure of an existence and is still allowing himself to be blinded by Lisa's beauty. Ana has him in a room, strapped to a table, looking at hundreds of pictures and video. At first I thought they were brainwashing him but we find out that they're analyzing his memories for a useful one. They need a good weapon against him to convince him to leave home and devote himself entirely to the Visitors. Erica knows he's in trouble but is helpless because she knows she's being watched.
Valerie is concerned about her pregnancy. It's a miracle she's even pregnant and Ryan is worried about her because of her heart condition. She's noticing odd symptoms and signs that aren't quite right with a normal pregnancy. She can feel the baby move which shouldn't be possible, and she can't stop eating. Oh yeah, and she's starting to crave dead mice. That's not normal. I wonder when Ryan is gonna let her in on the fact she's carrying his alien baby.
Michael J. Fox..erm..Chad is in quite a pickle. After being told in the last episode by the Visitors that he's going to develop a brain aneurysm he doesn't know what to do. His human doctor can't tell him whether or not the V's are right about their prediction because we as humans don't have the same technology. Chad doesn't know who to trust and the worry and fear of suffering instant death is really getting to him. It's a tough situation. What would you do? If you thought the Visitors were your only hope for survival would you trust them? Or would you go on trying to convince yourself nothing is going to happen.
I'm excited V is back and I look forward to the rest of the season. Right now it's getting down to who has the biggest and baddest army for this upcoming war. So far, in terms of numbers and power, I'll have to say the V's are winning that battle. But the 5th column has a couple tricks up their sleeves so I'm not going to count them out yet. I enjoyed Erica having a John Locke moment ("Don't tell me what I can't do!") and Father Jack having a shirtless moment. It's the little things that make you smile.
