V - Unholy Alliance - Recap

The Fifth Column radicals are still hard at work taking out innocent people that they deem..not so innocent. When they kill and string up three Peace Ambassadors, Erica is shaken because that could have easily been Tyler. It's the final straw for her and they set out to find the leader of the radicals, Eli. Jack volunteers himself as bait for Eli. He's had his eye on Jack for some time anyway because of his anti V sermons so it's pretty smooth sailing from there. Eli is a suave fast talking man with a hint of someone that was once decent. It turns out he and Erica have something in common. His wife was tampered with by the Visitors during her pregnancy only their child died because of it. His radical group is his way of getting revenge.

Erica's job is made harder for her when her no nonsense new partner shows up. Lucky for her, or so she thinks, he's actually an old friend of hers. They used to get into some trouble back in the day. Haha so everything is okay right? Wrong. Despite Erica's attempts to throw this guy off of Jack's trail, he's good at his job. And it turns out Erica's boss brought him in just to keep an eye on Erica. I guess two missing partners raised a couple of red flags for her. While searching surveillance tapes, he catches Erica in a lie about her relationship with Jack. Uhoh. Save Jack!

Anna is growing frustrated with all the religious groups of the world doubting her so she arranges a trip to the Vatican. She puts on her usual fake smile until it looks like she isn't going to get what she wants. She asks the Cardinals to condemn any religious official, like Jack, that's been speaking out against the Visitors but they initially refuse. Anna displays some alien anger and makes some scary blue lightning fly around the room. When the Cardinals are done peeing in their pants, they agree. They don't want the faithful people of the world turning to Anna instead.

Anna discovers that one of the Cardinals is actually a Visitor that was sent to Earth by her mother to research human emotion. He was sent to find out the impact of human emotion and the Soul on the V's attempts at interbreeding. He seems like a lovely man that faith has helped and he tells Chad to fight against Anna. He refuses to tell anything to her so she brings him to her mother. He tells her that the soul is a gift that their kind would only be lucky to have. Anna tells him she will skin him but her mother kills him herself so he could have some honor. I love this show.

Ryan puts an undetectable V tracking device in Jack and they follow him to Eli. They storm his cabin somewhere in upstate New York and try to work out a compromise, all while Jack is held at gunpoint. Poor Jack. I just love him. He's my favorite. And anytime he's not wearing the collar is a good scene for me. Eli reveals his reasons for wanting revenge on the V's and he agrees to help them out with their little Malik problem. He dispatches a couple of loyal subjects who are willing to take the fall for Malik's death. Can we trust this guy? His beard is suspicious.

Hey guess what? Tyler is still a dumbass. He's understandably upset at the death of his fellow Peace Ambassadors and wants to do something about it. He wants to hurt Jack. Lisa tries to talk some sense into him but let's face it, that's not going to happen. Him and a couple of buddies drive up to Jack's church, go inside and totally trash it. Spray paint, broken statues, shattered candles, it's horrible. They only leave when they are discovered. What would Tyler have done if Jack was there? Attack him with his bat? Tyler drops his phone and Jack shows the video he took on it to Erica. She's heartbroken that this is the boy she's raised. Is all that time with the Visitors rubbing off on him?

The future of this show isn't clear so make sure to show your support to ABC and V anyway you guys can.
