V - Uneasy Lies The Head - Recap

Erica is not handling the death of her ex husband and loss of Tyler well at all. It's ignited a fire inside her and she's not afraid to risk other human lives to take down Anna. This has unfortunately, alienated Jack who before now was Erica's closest companion. I think deep down Erica knows what she's doing and knows that Jack is right but is afraid to admit it. She wants revenge and she wants it now.

Erica's next plan of action as the new leader of the Fifth Column is to break into a lab to obtain a virus they can use to corrupt the strains of DNA Anna is seeking. Erica lies to Jack about the complications that could arise and harm the innocents aboard the ship and doesn't bat an eye when she wants to risk Sid's life. She's being a bit pigheaded and Jack desperately tries to talk some sense into her and calm her down. She's not listening. They put on their ski masks and arm themselves to break into the lab. When a guard shoots Hobbes in the shoulder, Erica abandons the peaceful plan they had agreed upon and shoots the guard in the chest. Jack goes to save him and the look in his eyes when he stares at Erica says it all. I can literally feel Jack's heart breaking. What is it with Liz Mitchell playing people who break the hearts of people named Jack?

Lisa struggles with her emotions and hiding them from her mother. Anna declares that Lisa must follow her orders and breed with whomever Anna tells her or she will be exterminated. That's quite harsh but that's Anna. Anna deals with the new complication that the 28 boys around the world are beginning to die from a mystery illness. What does this mean for Tyler? Anna speeds up the process of extracting the final DNA sequences that she needs. Tyler catches Lisa with Raphael and starts to beat him. Is Tyler working in reverse and catching on to V emotion? Raphael then collapses from the mystery illness. Erica's plan of infecting the DNA strands fails and the man she ends up infecting is killed. Anna injects Tyler with the completed DNA sequence and it remains to be seen how he will be affected.

Ryan tries to rescue his daughter and escape from the ship once he realizes he is no longer welcome. And by that, I mean Anna sends two men to kill him. Ryan asks Joshua for help but Joshua, although still beautiful, is kind of a pod person now. He doesn't remember his time with Ryan but Ryan tells him he still has the human emotion inside of him and it's only a matter of time. Yay! Human Joshua yes please. Ryan turns to Lisa for help who in turn brings him to Diana. Diana shows him a secret way off the ship and Ryan leaves with the promise he will return for his daughter. How many allies does Diana have? She has one more secret person on the ship that she trusts. She enlists Lisa to bring him a message. Lisa does.

The camera pans and we see Lisa talking to Marcus who, dun dun dun, is alive! I kind of missed him. Anna's new wingman sucks. And I've had my suspicions about Marcus ever since he brought Joshua back to life. Although I am grateful. Hobbes goes over to Erica's to "comfort" her in the form of alcohol and angry grief sex. Yeah. That was something I didn't need to see. What an awkward scene. But Holy BOOBS batman. ABC needs to renew this show if only to give me my Erica/Jack scenes. Jack refuses to pick up Erica's call was so sad. Erica and Jack forever. Their friendship and how much he cares for her have been what of the best relationships since the pilot episode. Do you hope ABC gives it another chance?
