V - Red Sky - Vcap

Last week the episode ended with Val's water breaking and we pick up right where that left off. Val is in labor and about 50% stressed out until a crazy bug eyed V soldier bursts in and kidnaps her. Now that's gotta suck. Kidnapped while you're in labor? 100% stressed. They bring her to the V ship where they are eager to deliver the baby. Ana says she wants the baby to live but we never get to actually see the baby. Hmm. I wonder why. Didn't we get to see it in the original series? Anyway, Ryan finds out and storms onto the mothership trying to rescue Val. He leaves the room while she delivers the baby and I guess he's sitting in some alien waiting room while Ana kills Val. I wasn't expecting Val to die. Can they revive her? Where are the limitations on V technology? Ana wants to study Ryan and tries to convert him back with her bliss. Did she succeed?

Erica and Tyler are invited up to the ship to have dinner with Lisa and Ana. Ana is determined to get Erica on her side and to allow Tyler to live aboard the ship. Erica is the grand prize to Ana. Once she has Ana as an ally it's all uphill from there. Except Elizabeth Mitchell is kick ass and you can't manipulate her so easy! Erica agrees to the dinner when she, Jack and Hobbes plot to destroy Ana's soldier eggs with some sort of explosion. To do it, they need Joshua's help. For Joshua to help, he needs to cash in that favor that Lisa owes him. Anyone else starting to ship Joshua with Lisa? The man is gorgeous. Lisa is hesistant about betraying her mother and Josh asks her to make a decision about what side she will fight for.

Chad Decker upstages Tyler and wins my prestigious Most Hated Character award. Chad has always been a boob but until this episode I didn't realize just how naive and ridiculous he is. I thought he perhaps had a plan and could be trusted. But nope, Chad really is the way he seems. Jack goes to Chad for a favor in delivering a message to Joshua on the V ship. Chad sells out Joshua and the rest of 5th Column and Joshua is captured. Noooo. Joshua tells Chad what a deluded ass he is for trusting Ana and reveals that Ana never cured his aneurysm but in fact gave him one. Karma is quite the bitch isn't it Chad?

Jack is told he is no longer welcome at his church if he speaks out against the V's. I guess priests can't have opinions? Jack of course does the right thing and speaks from his heart and ends up offending 80% of the church. Is this the end of Father Jack? Is he free to hook up with Erica now in season 2? Just wondering. Is that 90 year old priest a V? I wouldn't be surprised. His wrinkles look green.

Lisa chooses to help Erica and frees Joshua. She gives Erica a more sophisticated weapon and Erica destroys Ana's soldier eggs. To cover their tracks Erica is forced to do the one thing I've been dreading for a few weeks now. She kills Joshua and the beauty quota on this show decreases tremendously. Ana's reaction to the loss of her eggs is really scary. She is overcome with grief, anger, rage, shock and just about every other emotion you'd expect someone to have. Ana isn't supposed to experience human emotion and the scene of her screaming is really surprising. It wouldn't be complete without her acting irrationally and before Marcus can stop her, Ana does something drastic. I'm not entirely sure what exactly it was but the sky around the world is a red cloudy mess. It's a scary sight. What do you think the sky means? What's Ana's plan? Marcus is revealed to revive Joshua (YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS WOOOT) and tells him welcome back. Can Marcus be trusted? What's HIS plan? Is he happy to see Joshua or does he just want to torture him a little?
