V - Concordia - Recap
Anna is gearing up to announce her latest gift to humanity; Concordia. A Utopian structure that humans and Visitors will be able to work together and coexist in peace. It sounds good in theory like most of Anna's gifts. It will create tons of jobs around the world and in this unstable economy that's what most humans would want to hear. But of course, it's not what it seems. Concordia is actually a way to hide a fleet of breeding vessels, the essential next step of their invasion.
It's Tyler's 18th birthday and Anna is determined to get him to choose her over his parents. Erica tries to one up Anna and calls her ex husband and pleads with him to come back into the picture. She tells him everything she knows about the Visitors and of Anna's plans for Tyler's DNA. A happy family is all that will keep Tyler grounded. Anna wants to keep Tyler the opposite of grounded and decides to give him an even greater gift. She allows him to become the first human trained to fly a shuttle. It's a dream come true for the goober.
Anna intends to announce her plans for Concordia at a Gala and Erica is heading the security team. Ryan goes to Eli for help on seizing this golden opportunity to attack Anna. They agree that the best plan would be to assassinate Anna at the Gala. Our 5th Column team splits over this announcement. The idea of a bomb taking out not only Anna but 100's of innocent people is not something they want to sign on for. Erica tells them to use their sniper skills instead and harm only Anna. The night starts off perfectly and things go according to plan until Ryan chickens out. The thought of his child suffering because Anna isn't there is too much for him and he warns Marcus of the assassination plot.
Marcus gets Anna out of there and goes on stage with Tyler. Marcus begins to make the announcement and Kyle shoots him instead. Marcus ends up in critical condition and Tyler decides to stay safely at home with his family from now on. I like Marcus. I don't know if I can trust him but I like him. Things take another turn for the complicated when Erica's partner and boss once again catch her with Jack. And right before an assassination attempt? Things aren't looking good for Erica.
