V - A Bright New Day - Recap

(Here's Noelle's Vcap of tonight's episode of V: A Bright New Day)

Nothing is ever what it seems on V and this week is no exception. Visas are issued to the first batch of American Visitors causing outrage and violent protests to break out. Ana can see that this puts her plan of faux peace in jeopardy and leaps into action. What exactly she intends to do is a mystery right now but she is one sneaky alien and i'm sure it's going to involve intense manipulation. What is it that the Visitors need from humans?

Jack and Erica are still working together to try and find something to help with their fight against the Visitors. Or someone. Also on the same search are Ryan and Georgie. Ryan goes to talk to a former member of their old resistance. He has a plan to reunite them all. Apparently they're still around and call themselves the 5th column and they'd be ready to fight. Well that's good. Strength in numbers and all that. He meets up with his former friend who promises to give him a bunch of names of people who might be interested. I say the word former because he turns around and puts a gun on Ryan. Some friend. He's turning Ryan over to the Visitors because they promised to "Reconnect" him. To what? Either way they're probably lying. Ryan agrees with me and gets the gun away from him. Next time we see that guy he's dust.

Back in Alien-ville, Lisa meets Tyler for Pizza now that she has her Visa and informs him she got him back in the Peace Ambassador Program. I find it a little hard to believe that an alien can just walk the streets of New York City while nutty protesters are all over. I wonder what kind of pizza she ate. Anyway, Tyler brings Lisa back to his place to "talk" and naturally they don't do much of that. After awhile, Erica comes home and catches them because for some reason Tyler went into the hallway to confront her and took his shirt off first to do it. I understand taking off the uniform but..why your shirt? I'm still finding it hard to like his character. I don't trust Lisa. Ana is her mother!

There's been a death threat against the Visitors so Erica is brought in to try and help. They pair her with a V officer and together they try to stop a shooter. The shooter has got himself a V jacket to blend in but you can't hide from Erica. She takes him DOWN hahah. I love the looks on the faces of all the stunned male V's just standing there doing nothing. GIRL POWER! Erica takes the time she has on the mothership as an opportunity to snoop around. She finds out that the Visitor's have surveillance in those uniform jackets they all wear. Yikes. Could Tyler be able to help his mom and not know it? Whoa what the heck? The shooter was in on it all along. What's going on here?

Equally confusing, Dale is still alive. Guess if they can be killed, stabbing them isn't a way to do it. He's got no memory and he's looking to remember who tried to kill him. Uhoh. Slowly his memory returns as he tours familiar places that used to be a part of his life on Earth. He says he wasn't the only V working at the FBI offices. Hmm. My money is on Erica's boss. Dale is really scary looking. Especially when he remembers that Erica is the one who cracked his head open and says he's going to go kill her. But yay! The guy who's been working with Dale to recover his memory all along is one of those V traitors like Ryan in the 5th column. He drugs Dale and seems like he vows to protect Erica and use her as an ally.

The show ends with our four heroes (Erica, Jack, Ryan and Georgie) meeting together for the first time. This episode was much better then last week. It had some weird confusing moments such as the part with the widow changing her mind. Did Ana just "convince" her of that? The last episode of the year airs next week so expect big and explosive things to happen to satisfy us until March.
