'Utopia' Promo: Your Utopia

The new reality series from FOX titled Utopia premieres on Sunday, September 7, 2014. The network calls it a "social experiment" -- but in essence it is a mix of Big Brother, Survivor and Kid Nation.

In this new promo, FOX asks, what does your utopia look like? I'm not sure if the talent featured are actual contestants on the show already, but it's interesting to see that they may be casting opposites on this show (police vs. anti-police, etc.) to generate maximum drama. They need to produce a lot of challenges for their cast though because there is actually a lot of downtime on shows like this.

Oh and this show is supposed to run for an entire year if the ratings gods are merciful.

Program Description:

UTOPIA: The groundbreaking social experiment UTOPIA asks, "Does a perfect world exist?" From unscripted mastermind John de Mol ("Deal Or No Deal," "Fear Factor," "The Voice," "Big Brother"), and based on the Dutch hit of the same name, UTOPIA is a bold new series that moves 15 everyday Americans to an isolated, undeveloped location - for an entire year - and challenges them to create their own civilization. Will it be ultimate happiness or utter chaos? The new unscripted series UTOPIA debuts this fall on FOX.
