Utopia - Official Trailer

FOX has released the official trailer for their new reality show Utopia.

It's basically Survivor and Big Brother for an entire year. There's an additional twist of an opportunity to vote one person off every month to substitute for a new one.

The show is produced by John De Mol. Casting is now ongoing.

I was actually excited for this initially. And now I'm not. What will make this show interesting is the human interaction, not the premise. There is no way production can induce fighting (or other trainwreck-like behavior) 24/7 for 365 days. Big Brother gets boring as it is watching people sleep and just lay around all day. And Survivor works because it's edited. I'm sure those guys mostly lay around all day as well.
