'Utopia' canceled by FOX after dismal ratings

Utopia has been canceled by FOX effective immediately.

The series was preempted by the World Series two weeks ago and when it returned last Friday, it scored a 0.5 18-49 adult rating and 1.56 million viewers.

Repeats of MasterChef Junior will air on Fridays and the live stream will end today, Sunday.

Utopia was a presentation of Talpa Media, U.S.A., and was the brainchild of reality mastermind John de Mol and executive-produced by De Mol, Conrad Green ('Dancing With The Stars'), Jon Kroll ('The Amazing Race'), and David Tibballs ('Dragons' Den').

The official Twitter feed actually still tweeting at 5 PM ET. I guess they didn't know.
