Once Upon A Time in Wonderland - Episode 2 - Recap - Trust Me
Once Upon A Time in Wonderland attempted to keep my attention tonight but failed miserably. With it only being the second episode of the series, this doesn't seem all that promising.
"Trust Me" recap:
For me, the two best things about the show so far are Jafar's (Naveen Andrews) perm and the Genie's face. What a cutie pie. He reminds me of Diego Boneta.
Jafar and The Red Queen are frenemies this week. Both are on the hunt for the Genie's bottle. The Red Queen finds the bottle first with the help of the White Rabbit whom she is blackmailing. I find myself rolling my eyes whenever she is on screen. She is somehow, both unlikeable and not intimidating at all. I'm not sure what's going on with her accent or if that's her trying to sound evil and intimidating but it's not working.
Elsewhere in Wonderland, Alice and Will attempt to find Cyrus before a body of water gets in their way. A fairy ends up dropping them in the middle of the water and some impressive CGI begins when they have to ride a giant sea turtle to land.
Alice becomes worried when she fears that Cyrus has moved on and her search is for nothing. He puts those fears to rest by sending her a magical note that he is alive but hopes she will leave and save herself.
All in all, I have to say not much happened tonight at all. I found myself zoning out and losing interest which left me feeling incredibly disappointed. I was looking forward to this. I will, however, continue to give it a chance in the hopes it gets better.
So far, for me, this show is like if Snow and Charming love scenes were all we got on Once Upon A Time. And that's not good no matter how cute they are together.
