Once Upon A Time In Wonderland - Recap - Episode 12 - To Catch A Thief

It's the second to last episode of Once Upon A Time In Wonderland. The series finale will air next week.

Read on for our recap of episode 12 "To Catch A Thief".

In a flashback, we learn how Will (Michael Socha) and Alice (Sophie Lowe) originally crossed paths. Alice was Wonderland's Most Wanted by the Queen of Hearts and Will was being ordered to hunt her down with the other soldiers. Will was never much of a challenge for Alice and she easily gets the best of him.

She realizes that Will is literally being controlled by the Queen because she possesses his heart. Alice vows to help Will retrieve it if he helps her prove to her father that Wonderland is real. Eventually, Will brings Alice the proof she needs, in the form of a White Rabbit.

Still hurting from Jafar (Naveen Andrews) killing Anastasia (Emma Rigby) in last week's episode, Will, understandably, wants to kill Jafar himself. Jafar then tempts Will with a way to bring Anastasia back from the dead. Will runs with this news to Alice and Cyrus (Peter Gadiot). He says the only way to do this is to let Jafar win and bring him the serpent staff. Will is furious that Alice only seems to care about her own love story.

The duo refuses to do as he wishes and Will is forced to steal the staff during the night. When Alice falls in the river, Will has to save her and he realizes it's best to continue to work together...and with a little help from the Jabberwocky. She doesn't trust that Jafar will free her and offers to help these guys with their plan.

Back in Jafar's castle, Alice releases his other prisoner while Will creates a distraction with the guards. Amara is released from the serpent staff and begins to battle Jafar. He's just playing with her. He knows who Cyrus really is. To make a point, or to prove he really is just a jerk, Jafar stabs and kills Cyrus. Maybe. He looks pretty dead to me. Either way, it's not looking good for Cyrus.

Amara is now forced to help Jafar complete the spell to change the laws of magic and save her son.
