Once Upon A Time - Season Finale - Recap - Snow Drifts/There's No Place Like Home

We're going back...to the future! Emma and Hook venture back into the past on tonight's two hour season finale episode of Once Upon A Time.

Read on for our recap of "Snow Drifts" and "There's No Place Like Home" below:

Storybrooke is celebrating the recent capture of Zelena and seemingly have nothing to worry about except what the newborn should be named. And whether or not Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will leave for New York. It's never calm in this town. They should know that by now. Zelena's time portal has opened and the town is very, very confused.

Rumple (Robert Carlyle) manipulates the security cameras to make it look like Zelena killed herself and her last bit of magic is what opened the portal. Emma, always being too curious, drags Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) along to check it out and the two of them are sucked into the past. The duo must navigate through the Enchanted Forest of the past without changing a thing.

Emma messes that up pretty quickly by accidentally stopping her parents from meeting. They are forced to ask Rumplestiltskin for help and entice him by telling him he will one day find his son. The book is starting to become blank and time is running out for Emma to fix what she has done. They need to get to the Enchantment Under The Sea dance! Or..just a ball.

Emma keeps the Hook of the past "occupied" while present day Hook convinces Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) to steal the wedding ring from David (Josh Dallas). Rumple then puts a disguise spell on Hook and Emma so they may blend in at the royal ball.

Unfortunately, things go South quickly when Emma is caught trying to help Snow escape. She is thrown in a prison cell with another prisoner. Using a memory from Neal (Michael Raymond-James), Emma is able to pick the lock and release the both of them before they are executed.

Snow isn't so lucky. She is captured by the Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) and is burned at the stake. But Emma is still there! Snow had managed to use dark fairy dust to turn herself into a bug to escape just in time. Hook then realizes that Emma letting the prisoner live may have consequences later on. Emma suggests they kidnap and take her back with them.

Just when they think they're on their way home, Rumple announces only they can re-open the portal and he'd rather forget everything he's learned. He then sends them to a dark vault where he keeps dangerous magic. Before she can leave, Rumple holds on to Emma and demands to know what happened to Bae. She tells him and begs him not to take away the fact he died a hero. Rumple drinks the forgetting potion and Emma brings back her magic to open the portal home.

Home. Emma realizes she belongs in Storybrooke with her family. She's been treating her parents like acquaintances for too long. As soon as she gets home, she gives them a big hug and calls them mom and dad. Finally!

David and Snow have finally reached a decision as to what to name their son. They introduce their son as Prince Neal. Awww.

Hook tells Emma that he traded his ship for a magic bean to save her in New York. This, of course, inspires her to kiss him. The shippers will go crazy. And speaking of, did I mention the episode ends in the wedding of Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumple?

How long will all this happiness last once she finds out about the dagger? Speaking of happiness not lasting, Emma ruins Regina's happy ending when it is revealed that the prisoner she brought back is Marian, Robin's love that was thought to be dead. AGH. I really loved Regina and Robin Hood together.

And that's not all Emma brought back with her. Did she bring back the Ice Queen from Frozen? Next season is going to be good.
