Once Upon A Time - Season 3 Episode 4 - Recap - Nasty Habits

Will Rumplestiltskin give in to the prophecy when he confronts Peter Pan? Recap of Season 3 Episode 4 of Once Upon a Time: Nasty Habits.

Neal escapes the clutches of the Lost Boy With Attitude only to run right into his papa. Thinking he's just another illusion, Rumple almost slices him up on the spot. In a flashback, Bae begs his father to let him live outside their 4 walls. It's not until a mysterious boy (Pan) lures other young boys away from their families that Bae gets the chance. That sounds mighty creepy doesn't it? Trying to prove that Bae would be happier with him, Pan offers to let him make the choice. Fearing what he might say, Rumple takes him and runs before he can give a proper answer.

Back in Neverland, things haven't changed. Neal still wants to get away from him, but for a different reason. Rumple has been pondering the prophecy and announces he'd be willing to die to save Henry. Personally, I'd rather keep Rumple. The father-son duo capture some squid ink, which, apparently, can temporarily immobilize even the most powerful creatures.

They use it on Pan to take Henry. When Pan tries to stop Neal to warn him that Rumple will murder Henry, the truth about the prophecy comes out. Not wanting to take the chance, Neal uses the ink on his father and books it. It's not long before he and Henry are recaptured and I am saddened once more.

The group continues to try and find a way off the island (LOST!) and come across the small space Neal used to live in. There are many things about this part of the episode I enjoy. Hook telling Charming to be honest with his family: "You don't look so hot." Regina's smile when she learns what happened to Greg and Tamara. Sweet revenge for torturing her! I forgot all about them.

The group finds a map of the stars that Neal left behind but he is the only one able to read it. Realizing that their only hope is dead (to them) and she was still in love with him, Emma breaks down and her parents are unable to comfort her.

Next week looks like a great one. It's a Hook-Centric episode and we're getting flashbacks pre-guyliner. Can't wait.
