Once Upon A Time - Season 3 Episode 3 - Recap - Quite A Common Fairy
The gang of believers continue their quest to find Henry in Neverland. This week, they're in search of someone else, someone to help them. A certain green fairy named Tinker Bell.
Once Upon A Time: "Quite a Common Fairy" recap:
When Pan continues to play games by moving his hideout, Hook suggests they look for a fairy named Tinker Bell. Pan trusts her and she may be able to help them find Henry. Regina is not thrilled at the idea. The two of them have a complicated past. Anyone else remember watching Rose McIver in "Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off"?
In a Flashback to Fairy Tale Land, Tink comes across Regina who has given up on love. In an effort to both help Regina and prove herself to the Blue Fairy, Tink steals some pixie dust. The dust's magical powers can lead Regina to her new soul mate. Regina, unfortunately, chickens out and can't walk in the door to meet her mystery man. His head looks awfully familiar. "Fly away, Moth." Ha!
Tinker Bell lost her wings and magic as punishment for stealing and blames Regina. Regina offers her heart on a silver platter but Tink doesn't kill her. The group offer to take Tinker Bell home with them in exchange for help finding Pan. Is there a place for her in Storybrooke?
Back in Fairy Tale Land, Neal is busy looking for a portal and a way to Neverland. He comes up with the idea of using Robin Hood's son to attract the creepy shadow baby snatcher. At the last moment, Neal hitches a ride back to his former pad in the hopes of seeing his family again. The arrogant Lost Boy is waiting for him. I'm not sure who I hate more right now. Henry, Charming, or this dude.
Charming is slowly dying and Hook tries to convince him to tell Snow White the truth. The truth is odd tonight. Pan attempts to tell Henry that it is he, and not his mother, who is the true savior. He needs to save magic. Henry wants no part of this.
I imagine this wasn't the most infuriating scene of the night. After helping Neal return to his family, Robin Hood offers to allow Mulan to join his gang of Merry Men. Politely declining, Mulan explains she has to tell someone how she feels before it's too late. Mulan walks slowly up to Aurora with a huge smile on her face. Before she can get the words out, Aurora announces that she and Phillip are expecting.
I am both amused by how evil the writers are and perplexed that they actually went there.
Mulan decides to take Robin up on his offer and shakes his arm. Robin reveals a tattoo, the same tattoo that Regina's soul mate possessed. Is Robin Hood Regina's one true love?
