Once Upon A Time - Season 3 Episode 2 - Recap - Lost Girl

Once Upon a Time - Season 3 Episode 2 - Lost Girl

This episode of Once Upon A Time was a huge disappointment. It was kind of a snooze. I really don't know what there was more of tonight: commercials or useless flashbacks.

Here is our recap of season 3 episode 2 of Once Upon A Time: Lost Girl.

Snow/Charming flashbacks from before the curse are really the worst. They were cute in the beginning but I really didn't need 60% of the episode to focus on the fact Snow White had to come to terms with ruling her kingdom. Who cares? Our gang is in Neverland and this is what we're going to focus on? Snooze. Anytime it got remotely interesting in Neverland, it would cut to commercial or back to the Fairy Tale Land pre-curse.

Rumple is hiding out by himself. He asks his shadow to hide his dagger and then spends the episode chatting with a vision of Belle. FauxBelle is trying to encourage him to do the right thing when it comes to Henry. Sure, he could let Henry perish and make most of the viewers happy, but would he be able to live with himself even if he prevented his undoing? Along with this, the doll from last week, (which we find out is the last thing Rumple's father gave to him) keeps reappearing no matter how many times he tries to destroy it. This island tests people. It's like LOST.

Peter Pan pays Emma a visit in the middle of the night to invite her to play a little game. He gives her a map that will lead her straight to Henry. The map will only reveal itself once Emmy finally accepts who she really is. More of that savior baloney. Peter wants to test her and see what he's up against.

Emma is unable to solve the riddle and Regina takes some magic into her own hands. Pan is not happy that they cheated and a fight with the Lost Boys ensues. Charming gets himself a poisonous injury and he's keeping it from the others. Take him. He's annoying lately.

Emma is struggling with her parents this episode. Snow has hopes that Emma will start calling her "mom" but Emma isn't there yet. Pan can see it. She hasn't forgiven them yet for abandoning her as a baby. He believes Henry hasn't forgiven Emma yet either. Emma accepts the fact that she's an orphan and the map reveals itself. Let the games begin.

The episode only got interesting towards the end. All in all it was quite a snooze. I loved the Hook moments when he asked Emma how his character was portrayed in the movies. Believing him to be handsome, Emma sets him straight about the mustache and the perm. The show may be hinting at a romance between the two but with Neal still alive, who actually thinks that's going to pan out? (See what I did there? Har.)
