Once Upon A Time - Recap - Happily Ever After?

The Neverland story comes to an end tonight. But will our favorite characters finally get their Happy Ever Afters?

Read on for our recap of the mid-season Winter finale of Once Upon A Time: season 3 episode 11 "Going Home".

Peter Pan is all set to cast the curse upon Storybrooke. There's just one little thing needed: the heart of the thing he loves most. Pan rips out Felix's heart and adds the ashes to the potion. Peace out, Felix. At least you served your purpose. Pan never fails.

A curse is now coming to Storybrooke and the town is powerless to stop it. Can Regina (Lana Parilla) and Rumple help? Rumple believes that Regina will be the one able to stop the curse. He summons the others to retrieve the Black Fairy's magic wand to switch back Henry and Pan. Pan's shadow shows up to the church to terrorize their quest. Bae encourages Tinkerbell to summon a little courage to use her pixie dust to fly within reach of Pan's shadow. After finally believing in herself, she is able to capture Pan's shadow and destroys it. Upon doing so, the Blue Fairy is revived and gives them the wand that they need. Convenient, eh? I really wanted her to stay dead. She's not very likeable.

Once Pan and Henry are switched back, Rumple places the cuff from Greg and Tamara on Pan's wrist to stop him from doing any magic. Pan scoffs at it. He created it. It can't hurt him. Pan rips off the cuff and puts it on Rumple instead.

Pan(Robbie Kay) struts into town and freezes our friends. They're all so cute to him. He can't decide who to kill first. Raining on his parade, Rumple shows up again with a fresh attitude on life. Rumple realizes that he needs to begin saying his goodbyes. Wait, what? Is this the boy that will be his undoing? He says he now knows what must happen and he's finally ready for it. Rumple summons his shadow to grab the dagger it was hiding and plunges it into Pan and himself.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I mean, obviously Rumple will come back in March... right? RIGHT?

I don't believe that Robert Carlyle won't be returning to the show but I'm really going to miss Robbie Kay. That kid was talented and honestly, a way better Henry than Jared Gilmore ever was.

Regina, still reeling, realizes what must be done to save them all. Storybrooke must be destroyed and literally wiped from existence. She must also give up the thing she loves most: Henry. Because, yeah. Henry is still alive and well. Unfortunately. Lana hasn't gotten the credit she deserves this season. She may be a vengeful murderer but she loved that kid.

Everyone will be sent back to the Enchanted Forest but Emma (Jennifer Morrison). As the savior, she may stay behind and raise Henry. Her memories of everyone in Storybrooke will be wiped clean and Regina will give her and Henry new memories of a life together. They will live as if Emma never gave Henry up for adoption.

As the curse envelopes Storybrooke, we flash to a year later. We're in New York City and Emma and Henry are eating breakfast when there's a knock on the door. It's... Captain Hook! In the same outfit! He says there's been a problem and she needs to come with him. Oh my Gosh, it's like the ending of Back To The Future!

Emma promptly knees him in the goods and gets on with her breakfast. What problem could be happening? Without Regina as the Evil Queen and without Pan... who is stirring up trouble in the Enchanted Forest?

Once Upon A Time returns with new episodes in March on ABC.
