'Once Upon A Time' Casts 'Frozen' Characters Anna and Kristoff
Once Upon A Time ended its third season with a huge tease that the characters of Frozen would be coming to the world of Storybrooke. Granted, some felt the decision was a ploy to drive ratings, piggybacking off of a popular movie and all. But isn't that kind of the point? Might as well get the most out of Frozen while you still can. Case in point, the show has officially cast the roles of Anna and Kristoff.
Newcomer Elizabeth Lail will play Anna, the younger sister of Queen Elsa of Arendelle. Meanwhile, Greek alum Scott Michael Foster will play Kristoff, Anna’s beau romantic interest. As for the remaining Frozen character joining the show, Elsa herself has yet to be cast.
Once Upon A Time's Anna is described as "a fun-loving, fearless optimist who often gets herself into situations where she is in over her head, yet is able to triumph due to her resourcefulness and can-do spirit." But, most importantly, she "values her relationship with her sister Elsa above all else."
Kristoff, meanwhile, is described as a "hearty, salt-of-the-earth ice cutter whose sometimes-gruff demeanor can hide his deep love for Anna and her sister Elsa." Apparently, when we first meet him in the show, he is still in the process of transitioning to life at the castle. Naturally, he finds the adjustment difficult, since it involves sleeping indoors for the first time. Ever. No, seriously, he's slept outside in the maddening cold his entire life. Insane.
