United States Wins Gold Medal - Women's 4x100 Medley Relay - London 2012 Olympics - Medal Results

Team USA brought home relay gold again in the Women's 4x100 Medley Relay at the London 2012 Olympics.  Race details and all the medal results to follow.

With gold medalists and world record holders Missy Franklin, Rebecca Soni, Dana Vollmer and Allison Schmitt on the team, it's no wonder that the U.S. team was heavily favored to win this race.  Missy Franklin got the team off to a good start on the backstroke leg, just missing the world record.  Rebecca Soni maintained the lead in the breast stroke leg.  Dana Vollmer opened up a can of whoop ass on the field in the butterfly leg and Allison Schmitt brought it home securing the gold medal and a new world record for Team USA.  Great job ladies! It has been a fabulous Olympics for the women of the U.S. swim team and this was a great way to end it.

Results:

Gold: United States

Silver: Australia

Bronze: Japan

Congratulations to all the medalists!
